While some items in Dollar Tree simply are not worth their low price tag, every so often, you’ll stumble across a hidden gem that you wish you had known about sooner! To guide your next shopping trip, here are 17 things you should be buying from Dollar Tree.

Pasta

Pasta is perfect for those on a budget. You can pick it up for cheap at Dollar Tree, and it will last for multiple meals. It’s also dried, meaning that its expiration date will be far into the future, just like rice from Dollar Tree, which is equally useful to keep in your cupboard!

Halloween Candy

With USA Today suggesting that the average American spends over $100 on Halloween each year, it’s probably time you started buying some cheaper candy. Thankfully, Dollar Tree has a wide selection, which may not be the greatest quality, but then again, you won’t be the one eating it. The kids won’t care!

Body Wash/Shower Gel

Dollar Tree’s selection of toiletries is extensive and of reasonable quality, especially considering the price. If you only use the required amount of body wash or shower gel in one use, your dollar will go a long way; it’s a fantastic way to stretch your budget further.

Reading Glasses

It’s easy to overspend on reading glasses, but it might surprise you to learn that you can actually pick up a pair at Dollar Tree for cheap! They will have the correct lenses that you need and can be found in an array of styles and colors, so there’s no point in spending more.

Plant Pots

There’s no need to buy plant pots for inflated prices at garden shops—you can buy them for next to nothing at Dollar Tree instead! Dollar Tree offers a range of pots, from the classic terracotta pot to a sleeker marble pot. It also stocks plant supplies such as seeds, pot liners, and gardening gloves.

Bleach

Bleach is used for a variety of different household cleaning operations, including keeping your bathroom clean, dying hair, and, as the American Cleaning Institute points out, doing laundry! Considering how much you use it, grab your bleach from Dollar Tree; it’s way cheaper than name brands, but it’s just as effective.

Condiments

There are plenty of food options available at Dollar Tree that are a fraction of the price of the ones sold at the supermarket. Condiments, which can be expensive when bought in a regular store, are included, and thanks to the low price, there won’t be any need to pick and choose your favorites.

Cleaning Products

Other than the price, of course, there is very little to differentiate the cleaning products on offer at your usual store from the ones sold at Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree stocks glass cleaners, scouring pads, floor cleaners, air fresheners, and just about any other cleaning product you can think of, so grab them cheap!

Hair Accessories

It’s well worth buying cheaper hair accessories, especially as they go missing so frequently. Purchase them at Dollar Tree, and you can stock up on multiple packs for the price of one from your local accessories store. They’ll even be cheaper at Dollar Tree than on online marketplaces such as Amazon!

Toothbrushes

It’s definitely worth heading to Dollar Tree to stock up on toothbrushes, as their offerings are far cheaper than the average retail price. However, as the BBC recommends, an electric toothbrush is a more effective option. Thankfully, Dollar Tree sells accessories for these, too!

Party Supplies

If you’re organizing a large party, Dollar Tree is definitely worth a visit. You’ll find all the supplies you need for considerably cheaper than they are being sold for in supermarkets, including paper plates, balloons, cards, confetti, and more. There’s no shortage of pattern varieties, either!

Pens and Pencils

Pens and pencils are gloriously elusive, always disappearing on you when you need them most. However, with a pack of pens or pencils being no more than a single dollar at Dollar Tree, you’ll be able to stock up and have an abundance of writing utensils lying around the house.

Greetings Cards

Why pay over four dollars for a single greeting card at your local supermarket when you can pick up two for the price of one dollar at Dollar Tree? The variety of choices in Dollar Tree’s card section is also excellent, covering every special occasion you can imagine.

Storage Boxes

The price of storage boxes can really stack up if you buy them from a home furnishings store, which is tough to justify as you’ll only be hiding them away! Meanwhile, the boxes on offer from Dollar Tree may not be as rigid, but they’ll do their job just as effectively.

Light Bulbs

Dollar Tree is great for buying light bulbs, especially since the US switched to using LED-only bulbs, which are pretty expensive. Because Dollar Tree is so cheap, you can bulk buy their bulbs, ensuring that you never have to worry about a light bulb dying on you after the shops have closed.

Coffee

With less spare cash in their bank accounts, people are less inclined to visit coffee shops such as Starbucks these days, which is reflected in the chain’s recent share price plummet, as reported by CNBC. Meanwhile, Dollar Tree is thriving with its huge budget coffee range, so why not make the most of it?

Canned Food

Last but certainly not least, canned food is a great way of keeping yourself fed for very little money, and Dollar Tree is excellent for it. It has a huge selection of canned products, which, admittedly, aren’t anywhere near the quality of more expensive items but will serve you well when times get tough.
